Arsenal came from behind to equalise in stoppage time in a thrilling 1-1 encounter against Chelsea. The game went to penalties, and it was Arsenal who came out victorious in the end, leading 6-5. Chelsea went in front through Antonio Rudiger’s pinpoint header in the 5th minute; the Blues had plenty of chances to increase their lead which included a Penalty miss and a couple of one-on-one chances. It looked like the West London side would pull through with a 1-0 win before Alexandre Lacazette scored from close range in stoppage time to take the game to penalties.

Callum Hudson Odoi’s impact.
Callum Hudson-Odoi continued to shine for Maurizio Sarri; the 17-year-old was a thorn in the back for Arsenal’s defence. The teenage sensation won a penalty that was poorly taken by Alvaro Morata, his perfectly waited through ball was also squandered by the Spaniard, and when Hudson-Odoi went one-on-one with Cech, he was denied. Though the youngster didn’t get on the scoresheet, he was always threatening.

Both Chelsea and Arsenal scored their first five Penalties. It was Chelsea Midfielder Ruben Loftus Cheek who faltered from the spot and was denied by former Chelsea keeper Petr Cech. Alex Iwobi scored the winning penalty for the Gunners as they went on to maintain their perfect record in the International Champions Cup.
Chelsea goes up against Manchester City on Sunday with the FA Community Shield at stake in Wembley. Arsenal play Lazio in Stockholm, Sweden on Saturday which will be there last Friendly before the start of the Season.
