India now move on to the three-match ODI series against Australia after recording a historical win. The first-ever subcontinent team to win a Test series on Australian soil. 


The  ODI series commences on January 12, 2018, followed by the second and third ODIs on January 15 and 18 respectively. After this tour, India will visit New Zealand for an ODI series.

Former Indian captain MS Dhoni holds the record of the most number of dismissals claimed on Australian soil. He has bagged 25 dismissals against the Aussies in 18 ODI matches. These include 21 catches and four stumpings.

MS Dhoni also accounts for most dismissals in a single ODI match with 4 catches and 1 stumping. He secured the record five dismissals at Melbourne in February 2008.

Highest partnership – VVS Laxman & Yuvraj Singh (213)

VVS Laxman and Yuvraj Singh established a 213-run partnership in 2004, the highest partnership for India in Australia. The record run was a 4th wicket partnership, at Sydney on January 22, 2004.

Highest team total (331/4)

India obtained a total of 331/4 against Australia in 2016, which is the highest score by the Indian team in Australia. India recorded this score in Sydney and also emerged victorious in the match.

Lowest team total (63/10)

India’s lowest ODI total in Australia dates back to 1981. This was also achieved in Sydney.
