England - Ben Chilwell and Demarai Gray get their call up

Leicester duo Demarai Gray and Ben Chilwell have finally received their senior England call-up and will be part of the Three Lions squad that faces Switzerland on Tuesday night for a friendly game. Chilwell and Gray were in the England u-21 squad but having been called up to the senior squad they are in line to make their senior national team debut at the King Power stadium that is incidentally the home of their club Leicester City on Tuesday night when the Three Lions take on Switzerland

Ben Chilwell has impressed all with his scintillating performances on the left wing for Leicester and has completely deserved his senior national call-up. He has looked defensively solid and also very potent in attack and will replace the injured Luke Shaw who was seen leaving the pitch after an unfortunate injury to his head and is said to report back to Manchester for further treatment. Luke Shaw put in an amazing performance last weekend, assisting Manchester United teammate Marcus Rashford with an inch-perfect cross that Rashford converted, as their manager Jose Mourinho watched on from the stands.

Demarai Gray, on the other hand, comes into the squad replacing England’s solitary goal scorer in their 1 – 0 defeat to Spain, Marcus Rashford. Reports suggest that he took a knock on his leg and will hence leave the national side and will return to Manchester in order to be fit for Manchester United’s next premier league game this weekend. Gray has started at an unfamiliar striker position for Leicester this season ahead of Iheanacho, who is a natural striker in absence of their main man Jamie Vardy due to suspension. Gray has shown immense promise the last two seasons and is tipped to be an important member of the Three Lions squad in the coming future. He has surprised everyone with his blistering pace and his bag of tricks that leave defenders on the ground. Both Gray and Chilwell will be hoping to make their senior debut in their home ground, The King Power.
