Argentina International, Gonzalo Higuain has left Juventus and joined AC Milan in an initial loan deal that also sees centre-back Mattia Caldara join the Milan Club in exchange Leonardo Bonucci will return to Juve after a year away. Higuain, 30, was going to get much less game-time at Juventus in the upcoming season after the Italian champions’ secured the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo earlier this summer for 100 Million Pound fee.

Higuain will spend one year on loan at Milan for €18 million, with an option to make the move permanent next summer for a €36 million fee. Higuain’s brother who is also his agent, met with Milan technical director Leonardo on Tuesday to finalize the deal and agree on Personal terms. He arrived in Milan the next day and passed his medical on Thursday after which, the deal was announced.

The Argentine International set a Serie A scoring record netting 36 goals for Napoli in 2015-16 Season with Maurizio Sarri at the helm. According to some sources Higuain was also linked with a move to Chelsea, to reunite with the manager who got the best out of him.

“A new adventure begins,” Said Higuain after passing his medical.

Italy defender Mattia Caldara has also switched from Juve to Milan, as part of a swap deal that saw both clubs pay each other a fee of €35 Million. Bonucci sealed his return to Juventus after departing the Club last Season for €40 Million.

Bonucci Signed a 5-Year Contract with the Bianconeri and vas visibly ecstatic, “It was difficult to imagine this would happen, but it’s fantastic that it has.”

Juventus had to see young and immensely talented centre-back Matia Caldara leave for Milan. Caldara Joined Juventus in January 2017 for €25 Million from Atalanta and was going to remain at the Club on Loan till June 2018. Caldara is one of the brightest prospects in Italian Football and Juventus Manager Massimiliano Allegri was disappointed to see him go.

“I was sorry to see him go. He is a very young professional, a very good one, but I’m sure that he will have a very good future. Unfortunately, within the Market, we have to make some choices, and that’s what happened.”
