After a pulsating international break, Premier League action returns to Wembley with a blockbuster clash as Liverpool face Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow evening. Liverpool just like Tottenham come into the game with four wins in four, conceding just a single goal in the Premier League. They have been very solid defensively but have not yet shown the attacking prowess that they are capable of like last season. If Liverpool manage to win tomorrow, it would be only the third time in the top flight season where they have won the opening five games of the season. Including the final game of last season, Liverpool have won their last five league matches. The last time they won six in succession was during a club record 11-game run in April 2014 under Brendan Rodgers.

On the other hand, a Spurs win will mean that they equal their highest tally of 12 points after five matches of a Premier League season. Apart from that, Spurs have won eight of their last nine games in the premier league. They will, however, be without two of their main men, Delle Alli and world cup winning captain, Lloris. Whether they will be missed or not can only be known once the game commences but they are impact players who are capable of taking the game by the scruff of their neck at any moment. Lucas Moura’s rise to prominence has been nothing short of an inspiration for Spurs this season and the White Heart lane faithful will expect a similar performance from the Brazilian against the Reds.

Liverpool might hand Fabinho his first start in the Premier league if Klopp considers him ready. After playing a full ninety minutes for Brazil and considering the intense run of fixtures that Liverpool have coming up, handing him a start will not be the dumbest decision that Klopp has made in a time where Liverpool’s bench will be tested. The match promises to be thriller as it always has been when these two teams meet and the fans will hope that they get nothing short of it.
