India were supposed to be the hosts of the Asia Cup 2018 but due to Pakistan’s non-cooperation the venue was shifted to the UAE by the Asia Cricket Council (ACC). India are still getting host privileges and the Men in Blue’s base has been shifted to Dubai while the other five teams will stay in a different hotel. The entire contest will be hosted across two grounds- Dubai International Stadium, and the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. India will not be traveling to Abu Dhabi throughout the series. But this shift of venue Pakistan gets the advantage of familiarity in UAE.
Sarfraz Ahmed has had to face a considerable amount of criticism regarding his unorthodox ways of captaincy but he was the one who led the team to an improbable triumph in Champions Trophy 2017. But if recent results are to be taken into account, he can lead the team to go all the way in this Asia Cup contest.
