Chelsea put in a five-star Performance as they beat Southampton comprehensively with a 3-0 scoreline to move up to second place on the Points Table. Ross Barkley and Eden Hazard were in top form as Chelsea played with a certain ease and swagger dawning their new Sky blue third kit. Despite the scoreline making it look like a comfortable win, Southampton had a few chances to score and if it wasn’t for record Goalkeeper signing, Kepa Arizzabalaga, the Blues may have conceded a goal or two. But it was Maurizio Sarri’s side that remained unbeaten in the Premier League with League Top Scorer Eden Hazard, Ross Barkley and Alvaro Morata finding themselves on the scoresheet.

Chelsea, as usual, started the first quarter with a bulk of the possession and were making their signature swift passes through Jorginho in the middle of the park. But incidentally, it was Southampton who had the first clear-cut chance in the 25th Minute to score, through a quick passage of play involving Nathan Redmond, Ryan Bertrand, and Danny Inggs. Redmond Released Bertrand with a quick pass down the left flank and the Former Chelsea Full-back put in a dangerous cross straight to Ings who didn’t even get the shot on target from three-yards out. The miss seemed to cost Southampton as 5 minutes later the visitors opened the scoring. Ross Barkley tackled Southampton Midfielder Pierre-Emile Højbjerg and followed that up with a defense-splitting pass to find Eden Hazard who calmly scored with a right-corner finish.
The Blues added a second goal three minutes from the hour mark when the Southampton defense went to sleep while defending Willian’s set-piece and allowed Olivier Giroud to break away from the defensive line to put in a great cross for Ross Barkley who had an easy tap-in. The recently called up English midfielder scored his first Goal in Chelsea Blue and has looked immensely impressive this Season. Chelsea wrapped up the scoring with Alvaro Morata when Eden Hazard walked into some space shimmied near the box and set the ball up beautifully for Morata who cheekily chipped the ball past Southampton keeper Alex McCarthy to cap off a comprehensive win.
Kepa makes his presence felt.

The World’s most costliest Keeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga has been going about his work with precision making a few important saves last week against Liverpool and even bailed his team out from some tight situations against Vidi in the Europa League. Kepa was on top of his game in the last ten minutes of the game making a couple of good saves including this beauty. Redmond took a swirling shot from outside the box that sharply dipped on Kepa but the Spaniard got a finger to it on time and pulled off a save that was loved by the camera. Top stuff!
