It has been a World Cup that’s broken all stereotypes, big teams disappointed, Underdogs shone, and we witnessed some jaw-dropping Goals. Picking 5 goals wasn’t easy so we have a few honorable mentions as well. So here’s a list of our Top 5 Goals of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

5. Denis Cheryshev VS Croatia

Denis Cheryshev’s curler from outside the box was one of Russia’s top moments in the World Cup. After a quick one-two with Dzyuba, Cheryshev slotted the ball into the top left corner. Genius!

4. Toni Kroos VS Sweden

Toni Kroos scored a peach of a Free Kick in the 94th Minute against Sweden. Kroos rolled the ball to Marco Reus who perfectly teed it up for the Real Madrid Midfielder. 

3. Ivan Perisic VS France

Ivan Perisic can tell his Grandchildren that he had the honour of scoring a goal in the Final of the World Cup. Perisic’s first touch perfectly set up the shot in the box and the Finish was sublime!

2. Cristiano Ronaldo VS Spain

Ronaldo scored a blinder against Spain actually he scored three, but we’re highlighting the Free-Kick. Ronaldo didn’t go for the knuckleball like he usually does instead he Curled the ball beautifully over Sergio Busquets and Gerrard Pique. 

1. Benjamin Pavard VS Argentina

Every World Cup needs to have a Goal that defies Physics, logic and pretty much everything else. Pavard’s Goal perfectly fits that description, a sensational Strike from the French Right-Back.
