Chelsea walked all over Burnley at Turf Moor with Ross Barkley continuing to impress in Chelsea Blue.

Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea scored four past Sean Dyche’s usually resilient Burnley in what was an accurate and complete display of Sarriball with Ross Barkley as the Protagonist. What is Sarriball exactly? When Pundits were dissecting Maurizio Sarri just hours after he arrived at Chelsea, trying to see how this Squad would fit in. Now just 3 months later the Blues seem to fit his style of Football like a glove. Possession based Football, Check! High-Speed and efficient passing from back to front, Check! High Defensive back line, Check! and finally, Forwards that are slick with their movement and clinical in front of goal, Check.

Burnley started the game with a lot of aggression and intensity, they were dominant for the first ten minutes. Soon after the Blues started moving the ball very well and just 22 Minutes into the game Ross Barkley produced a very well weighted pass of the highest order to unleash Alvaro Morata in front of Goal, the Spaniard lashed onto the opportunity and found the right corner to open the scoring for the visitors. Eight minutes later Spanish winger Pedro had to be taken off with what appeared to be some sort of discomfort. Later, Maurizio Sarri revealed that Pedro had a searing pain in his stomach. Pedro was subbed off with Ruben Loftus-Cheek replacing him, fresh off of his Hattrick in a 3-1 rout of BATE Borisov.

Chelsea went into the break with a 1-0 lead and when they came out for the second half, they looked even more impressive. Ross Barkley who has gone from strength to strength this Season received a pass from N’Golo Kante in the 57th minute, dribbled through midfield and pulled the trigger outside the box to find the bottom right corner. Barkley has been improving immensely under Sarri and Mateo Kovacic may just become a liability for Chelsea if the Englishman continues to perform this way.

The Blues added another Goal just five minutes later when Barkley got involved again, the former Everton man passed the ball to Willian outside the box and the Brazilian cut in with some quick dribbling and scored with an exquisite curling Goal. Chelsea continued to create chances with substitute Olivier Giroud coming close to scoring two or three times. But it was finally Academy graduate Ruben Loftus-Cheek who scored Chelsea’s fourth from CLose-range.
