Cristiano Ronaldo – Ronaldo to make Old Trafford return

Cristiano Ronaldo was handed only a one match ban for his sending off against Valencia where the Portuguese star appeared to put his hand on Murrilo’s head. Ronaldo was expected to miss his much awaited return to Old Trafford, but the solitary one match ban means that the former Manchester United man will be able to return to where his rise to the pinnacle of football started. His sending off, was the first time he was sent off in the 15 years of Champions League football that he played, and the emotion that he portrayed after he was sent off spoke for itself. Ronaldo took some time to find his feet at his new club Juventus, but like all great players, all he needed was a goal and he was off and running for the Old Lady of Turin. He played a role in all three goal when they beat Napoli 3 – 1 last weekend.

Ronaldo will be excited to step out at the pitch of Old Trafford as the Manchester United fans welcome him as their prodigal son returns.  In terms of the game however, Juventus will look to continue their unbeaten run by beating a Manchester United team that is in tatters at the moment. Jose Mourinho and his men will look to bounce back strong and leave behind all the mishap that has been taking place in and around the club and concentrate on the football for a change. Manchester United are certainly a club with great history and are undoubtedly one of the best in England and even the world and they do not deserve to be in the place they are in right now. But come matchday, all this will be put away as Ronaldo will do his best to get the three points for Juventus in an away game that will be momentous for various reasons.
