As Brazil take on Switzerland Tonight at 11:30 PM (IST) in Rostov-on-Don. Both Switzerland and Brazil Have been unbeaten in their last 5 Friendlies, though Brazil is clear favorites to take all three points you can count Vladimir Petković’s Switzerland out at your own peril.

So let’s try to pick the Best Combined XI from both the Nations ahead of their Opening game. Warning, If you’re a Switzerland fan you aren’t going to be Two Happy (Pun intended)

GK- Alisson Becker (Brazil)

With 15 Clean Sheets, this Season Alisson has been one of the most sought-after Goalkeepers in World Football and is linked with some of the best Clubs in the world including Real Madrid and Liverpool. No Surprise, he gets the nod ahead of Switzerland’s Roman Burki.

RB- Stephan Lichtsteiner (Switzerland)

The 34-Year-Old is a seasoned campaigner for Switzerland, the Right-Back recently Signed for Arsenal on a free Transfer and though the Swiss International’s best days are behind him, he makes the team ahead of Brazil’s Danilo.

CB- Miranda (Brazil)

The 33-Year-Old is making his World Cup Debut after making his debut for Brazil way back in 2009. Miranda has been around for a while but has really taken his game to another level this Season, the former Atletico Madrid man played a key role in Inter Milan’s successful season that saw them qualify for the Champions League.

CB- Thiago Silva (Brazil)

The Experienced PSG man makes the cut. Dependable and solid in the backline, Brazil has some really good Centre-Backs and Silva is definitely up there with the greatest.

LB- Marcelo

The four-time Champions League Winner is hands down the best left-back in the World and has also been announced as Brazil’s Skipper. Marcelo Comfortably makes the team ahead of Switzerland’s Ricardo Rodriguez.

CDM- Casemiro
The role of the CDM has become so important in the modern game, the ball winner role to ensure you’re in control of the game. Casemiro has done that role so well for Real Madrid as well as Brazil.

CAM- Philippe Coutinho

The Brazilian is one of the most exciting talents in the World and it was no surprise when Barcelona coughed up 105 Million pounds (additional 37 million based on performances) for the former Liverpool man. Coutinho makes it ahead of Arsenal’s Granit Xhaka.

CM- Paulinho (Brazil)

The Barcelona Midfielder has had an excellent first Season with the Catalan Giants and his exploits in the La Liga have earned him a regular place in Brazil’s Starting XI.

RW- Xherdan Shaqiri (Switzerland)

The second Switzerland Player on the list, Xherdan Shaqiri just edges past Willian only because of what he has done for his Country in the past. The Swiss International has scored 20 Goals (69 appearances) for his country compared to the Brazilian’s 8 (57 appearances)

ST- Gabriel Jesus (Brazil)

The Brazilian has had a ‘rags to riches story’ the Man City forward went from painting the streets of Brazil for the 2014 World Cup to leading their line in Russia. Truly inspiring.

Check out Gabriel Jesus, Slumdog to Millionaire

 LW- Neymar (Brazil)

The Most Expensive Player in the World and the man that makes Brazil Tick. Neymar has got to make it count this World Cup and the PSG forward will want to go out all guns Blazing against Switzerland.
