England has some decent players but has always lacked unity. Gareth Southgate’s Men will be looking to turn things around in Russia this time. All eyes will be on Newly appointed captain and target man Harry Kane, can he take the Three Lions all the way?

Full Squad

Goalkeepers: Jordan Pickford (Everton), Jack Butland (Stoke City), Nick Pope (Burnley)

Defenders: Kyle Walker (Manchester City), Kieran Trippier (Tottenham), Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Gary Cahill (Chelsea), Danny Rose (Tottenham), John Stones (Manchester City), Harry Maguire (Leicester City), Phil Jones (Manchester United),  Ashley Young (Manchester United)

Midfielders: Eric Dier (Tottenham), Fabian Delph (Manchester City), Jordan Henderson (Liverpool), Dele Alli (Tottenham), Ruben Loftus-Cheek (Chelsea, On loan at Crystal Palace), Raheem Sterling (Manchester City), Jesse Lingard (Manchester United)

Forwards: Harry Kane (Tottenham), Jamie Vardy (Leicester), Marcus Rashford (Manchester United), Danny Welbeck (Arsenal)

Surprises: Burnley’s Nick Pope, Danny Welbeck has fallen down the pecking order at Arsenal a World Cup call-up wasn’t exactly what everyone was expecting. Joe Hart being left out along with Jack Wilshere has sent Social Media into a frenzy.

Players to watch out for England is blessed with some good attacking options with most of them in top form, Harry Kane ( 41 goals ), Raheem Sterling ( 23 goals ), Marcus Rashford ( 13 goals ) and Jamie Vardy ( 23 goals ).

Strengths: England’s Strikers are their strength, Southgate will be banking on Jamie Vardy and Harry Kane to hit the ground running. The Three Lions also has some quality wide-backs with Kyle Walker, Danny Rose, and Keiran Trippier all in fine touch.

Weaknesses: The England center-backs are relatively young, barring Phil Jones and Gary Cahill who haven’t really been in the best form. To add to their defensive woes all three Goalkeepers are very young and have never played a minute of Champions League Football.
