With the World Cup just around the corner, the fans are brimming with immense joy and excitement. Some people just need another reason to search something about the World Cup. We tend to connect the things that we love; one way is to look for players who represent our clubs in the World Cup and add another few countries to the list of teams to support in the upcoming World Cup. This article will look at one club PSG and the 12 players who are off to Russia.

Here are the players from PSG  who will be playing in the FIFA World Cup 2018

ARGENTINA: Angel Di Maria & Giovani Lo Celso

Argentina faces a tough group with Croatia, Nigeria & Iceland and in order to move forward in the tournament, they have a great set of players. Having played in 2 consecutive World Cups for Argentina, the PSG player is going to use his experience to his fullest in the upcoming World Cup as well. Angel Di Maria has appeared in 93 matches for the nation and has managed to score 19 goals. The Argentinian squad needs his presence in order to give in their best this year. 

22-year-old PSG mid-fielder, Giovani Lo Celso is looking forward to his World Cup debut in Russia. He has capped 4 matches for his country and will be eagerly waiting for more. 

BELGIUM: Thomas Meunier

Belgium has been tipped for greatness for several years now and their fans will be hoping they can hit their promised heights at the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia. The 26-year-old right-back, Meunier is ready for his first ever World Cup. He has played 24 matches for his country and scored 5 goals.

BRAZIL: Neymar Jr, Marquinhos & Thiago Silva

Brazil is considered to be one of the most powerful teams going to the 2018 FIFA World Cup. It is believed that most of the Brazilians are born with the talent of playing football and it is hard to disagree looking at the never-ending amount of gifted Brazilians in world football. Undoubtedly, Neymar is the perfect example of such a statement. The 26-year-old attacker has scored 55 goals in 85 appearances for Brazil since his debut at the age of 18. The PSG player is one of the most high profile players in the World Cup. 

The PSG defender Marquinhos is all set to start for his country in the World Cup 2018. He is a key player in the Brazilian football team despite this being his very first World Cup. The 24-year-old Brazilian has earned 25 caps for his nation.

Thiago Silva is a captain for both the club and his country. With his prior experience at the World Cup, the 33-year-old PSG player is set to lead his team in Russia. With 70 matches for Brazil, Silva will be an important experienced defender in the World Cup. 

FRANCE: Kylian Mbappe, Presnel Kimpembe & Alphonse Areola

France is considered to be one of the stronger teams going to Russia with a good set of players with great skillsets. 2018 World Cup seems promising for them. Kylian Mbappe is one of the players who are keen to perform well for his country. Just at the age of 19, this PSG player is selected to go to Russia and has already earned 15 caps for the country with 4 goals.

Presnel Kimpembe is all set to debut in 2018 World Cup as a defender. This young man of 22 years of age has played 2 matches for his country during the friendlies. He will definitely be looking forward to a great experience.

Alphonse Areola has appeared in various youth level matches for the country but has not earned any caps for the senior team yet. The 25-year-old goalkeeper will be hoping to debut soon for France in Russia 2018. 

 GERMANY: Julian Draxler and Kevin Trapp

The four-time world champions and current FIFA Confederations Cup holders, Germany is widely expected to play great in this World Cup as well. Die Mannschaft will be looking to defend their title as the World Cup champions of 2014. In order to do so, Julian Draxler will be hoping to perform his very best. The 24-year-old midfielder has appeared in 44 matches and has managed to score 6 goals. He is looking forward to his 2nd World Cup and probably more active participation this time.

With just 3 caps for Germany, Kevin Trapp is the 3rd choice for Die Mannschaft and will most likely keep the bench warm for this World Cup.

URUGUAY: Edinson Cavani

With two-time champions, Uruguay looks like the team that is waiting to rise in the World-cup charts again. With a good set of players, Uruguay will be depending on players like Edinson Cavani to lead their country to victory. He debuted in 2008 and has since then earned 100 caps and scored 42 international goals, making himself the second most scoring player in his country. The 31-year-old striker will be looking forward to scoring more goals in Russia 2018.
