England VS Panama, Kick off time: 5:30 pm (IST)

Harry Kane sent the England fans into a frenzy with a stoppage-time winner in their opening World cup match against Tunisia with Panama next in line. While ENG comes into this match with high confidence, Panama comes into this game at the back of a 3 – 0 loss against Belgium. Having never faced England before, they will look to frustrate the Three Lions.

Team News:

England:
Spurs Midfielder Delle Alli was seen limping off after training and is set to miss the game against Panama. Youngster Loftus-Cheek who looked really bright when he came on as a substitute against Tunisia is likely to get the nod. Southgate will also need to take a call on who will partner Kane upfront with Rashford and Sterling both more than able candidates. Trent Arnold the Liverpool youngster might also be given a run in against Panama even though Trippier had an excellent game against Tunisia creating the most chances in the game.

Panama:
Panama will have a fully fit side to face the ENG. The coach Hernan Gomez will most likely start the same eleven who started against Belgium.

Form Guide-
England: L | D | D | W | D
Panama: W | D | W | W | W

Odds-
England:1/5
Panama:11/2
Draw:18/1

Prediction: England 2 Panama 0: Panama is the weakest side in the competition and beating this new look England squad full of flair and energy seems near impossible. However, their physical strength can frustrate the three lions and they will most probably look into damage control especially with Harry Kane among England’s ranks. Their captain Roman Torres will have to play a key role in monitoring Kane who is the focal point of the attack. They will, however, find it extremely difficult to cope with the pace of Raheem Sterling and Marcus Rashford. The Panama defenders will, however, need to be on their toes at all times against an attack-minded English team.
