England has always seemed to have a team that is capable of being world beaters but they never seem to produce the goods when it most matters. This has been the case for a very long time and as the years went on, it didn’t seem to change. This time around though they don’t boast of a team that’s filled with the best players in the world, their plane to Russia is filled with individuals who are superstars in their own rights and the man leading them will be Tottenham’s ace striker, Harry Kane.
In the recent times, Kane has developed and shaped himself to be one of the best strikers in the world and the three lion’s fans will hope he produces the goods in the biggest stage of them all.
Gareth Southgate has handed Harry Kane the armband over the likes of Jordan Henderson and Erik Dier, but Kane is a man who fully deserves it. He’s a man capable of leading the team from the front with his goal-scoring prowess that’s arguably second to none. With the likes of Jamie Vardy and the pace of Raheem Sterling and Marcus Rashford and the Midfield prowess of his Spurs teammate Delle Alli, he seems to have just the support that he needs.
But at the end of the day, it’s not about what each individual can offer but about what they can produce together, as a team and this is what is, and always was lacking in the English team. To do well in a tournament like the World Cup, the English need to find their feet, pull up their socks and work as a team, something that hasn’t happened in a long time now for the three lions. Its high time they live up to their name and the expectations of their fans who always turn up in large numbers to back their team.
This is how confident sky bet are bout England winning the World Cup https://t.co/KoppYQHe4m
