The Tottenham Hotspur’s striker is keen on breaking the long-standing hoodoo in the upcoming season. Kane said that he is hoping to score some early goals in this season after acknowledging to the fact. “I will hopefully be back for the first game and hopefully I can try and score in August this year,” he said, according to BT Sport.
Kane played 573 minutes at the World Cup and preparing himself in a month time for the first PL game against Newcastle will be an uphill task.
“I want to be playing in four weeks’ time,” he said. “We’ll see. We’ll have to talk to the gaffer (Mauricio Pochettino) at Spurs. It will be a couple of weeks. The most important thing is mentally, physically, this has been our pre-season. We tick over and are going to just do nothing for two weeks. We will ease our way into it.”
Kane founded the net zero times in August in the three matches he played during the previous edition of Premier League. Afterward, he went on to take his tally to 30 goals in the rest of the season. Spurs will be facing Newcastle, followed by Fulham and Liverpool in its PL fixtures during August. Do the opponents need to worry about his fine form or will it be again a drought August for the 24-year-old?
