The Maurizio Sarri era at Chelsea has kicked off in style as the Blues thumped minnows Huddersfield in a convincing 3-0 victory at John Smith’s Stadium. Holding Midfielders N’Golo Kante and Jorginho found themselves on the scoresheet in the first-half and Pedro’s late goal wrapped up a convincing victory for Maurizio Sarri’s men.

The Blues opened the scoring in the 34th Minute when Willian’s delicious cross found N’Golo Kante who tucked the ball into the left corner. Surprisingly Kante looked 100% fit, the Frenchman returned to full training only on Monday and despite a hectic World Cup campaign, the World Champion was at his usual best. New Signing Jorginho will most likely be Chelsea’s most important player this Season considering he would be the player that would help Chelsea transition to Sarri-Ball. Jorginho capped off a wonderful Premier League Debut with a cheeky finish from the penalty spot after Huddersfield’s Christopher Schindler took Marcos Alonso down in the box.

Eden Hazard being Eden Hazard

Hazard came on for Willian in the 76th Minute and it seemed like the Belgian picked up exactly where he left off in Russia. Chelsea’s talismanic Winger was a visual delight and even created Chelsea’s third and final goal when he teed up Pedro in the 80th Minute. Some reports suggest that Hazard is going to be handed a new bumper deal along with the Captain’s armband and with Maurizio Sarri confirming that a contract extension is on the cards, the Future seems bright for Chelsea.

Kepa’s uneventful debut

The World’s Most expensive Goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga made his highly anticipated debut after a completing a 71.6 Million Pound Transfer from Athletic Bilbao on Thursday. Kepa finished the game with a Clean Sheet having a quiet debut game. Steve Mounie’s post-bound header in the first-half was Huddersfield’s Best Chance to deprive Kepa of his Clean sheet but aside from that, the Spaniard wasn’t really tested.
