The International Cricket Council has been conducting an investigation in Sri Lanka. A week before Sri Lankan Legend Sanath Jayasuriya was suspended by the ICC officials.

The ICC has been deep into investigating this whole saga, Anti Corruption Unit Offical, Alex Marshall has revealed a shocking fact.

His reports said that most people who are in corruption activities are Indians.

Danish Kaneria said he was approached by an Indian bookie and he offered Kaneria the money.

Danish Kaneria was involved in the fixing scandal when he was playing for Essex.

The 37-year-old was sent to jail when he was caught in spot fixing scam. But Kaneria didn’t approve the charges for 6 years, recently he has said sorry for his wrong deeds. He asked for an apology from his team Essex and his teammate Mervyn Westfield.

Mervyn Westfield was also sent to jail after Danish Kaneria.

Even, when the news of match-fixing broke out in the 2000s, the most corrupt bookies who were with the players were said to be Indians.

Marshall said, when they briefed the Sri Lankan players and the England players about fixing and corruption, they also shared the pictures and the names of the bookies because they felt that would be better to keep the players informed.

Alex Marshall also said there are currently keeping a watch on 12 to 20 active corruptors. But there are 6 more from whom the players should be careful of.

The picture that was shown by the ICC officials included some women also.
