The Kolkata Knight Riders, who have had an interesting week in the Indian Premier League so far, will lock horns with the Delhi Capitals on their home turf on Saturday.
Like the Chennai Super Kings have made the best use of the spinner friendly pitch at the Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi, the Dinesh Karthik-led KKR side can exploit this opportunity to bag another win in the 12th edition of the IPL.
THE CAPITAL-CLASH! ⚔

While the Kolkata Knight Riders are on a winning streak, having won both matches in this season so far, the Shreyas Iyer-led Delhi Capitals side have won one game and faced defeat in another as of now.
Kuldeep Yadav vs Shikhar Dhawan
To begin the dissection of the players of both sides, it has to be the experienced Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan, who dominated with his batting in both of the matches that Delhi Capitals have played in this season of the IPL. If they don’t remove Dhawan earlier, it might cause a problem for the visiting Knight Riders side. On the other hand, KKR captain Dinesh Karthik can play his special card by bringing ace spinner Kuldeep Yadav into the bowling attack to remove the oppositions’ best batsmen. This could work on Dhawan and the chinaman could work wonders for the KKR team. Yadav who has been wicketless till this point of the IPL 2019 can turn the tables on his numbers this season.

Andre Russell vs Amit Mishra
Nitish Rana, Andre Russell, Robin Uthappa, and Shubhman Gill are the among the main run scorers for the Knight Riders and all of them have been in tremendous form and there’s no stopping to that. Russell, with his incredible power-hitting ability, is the most dangerous batsman. However, it is clear that the Delhi Capitals have a plan for him, especially after what Sourav Ganguly said about the Windies all-rounder. The former Indian captain has a small warning Andre Russell of the Kolkata Knight Riders. “He is definitely in very good form. But cricket is a game of uncertainties and anyone of our bowlers can have a good game against him. So, let’s wait and watch.” Taming him will be the key and that is the challenge for the veteran spinner Amit Mishra. The veteran spinner claimed two wickets against the Chennai Super Kings in the previous game for the Delhi Capitals and sure is in good form.
Chris Lynn vs Kagiso Rabada
Both Delhi and Kolkata have one common problem – they have failed to get a solid start. This is due to one-half of the opening pair not firing. For Delhi, it’s the talented Prithvi Shaw who did manage to get a start against Chennai but before throwing it away. For Kolkata, it’s Chris Lynn who has scored 17 runs across two innings. Both are due to some runs now. It is clear to the Delhi Capitals that the BBL star Chris Lynn has a big weakness. And to exploit that they need to produce in front their best pacer to get the Aussie cricketer out early in the innings. South Africa’s ace fast bowler can do wonders in this case for the Delhi-based franchise.
