Match Details
DC vs MI
April 18, 8.00PM IST
Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi

Both DC and MI have ten points from eight matches thus far and are placed pretty on the points table in IPL 2019. Both the teams are coming off a win as well, with MI defeating RCB, while DC got the better of Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Both the teams have a well-balanced side as well, with Delhi’s top four leading the charge. MI have quality batters as well, but what stands out is their bowling attack. While DC have been led by Rabada and Morris, Mumbai have players like Bumrah, Malinga, and the Pandya brothers, who can turn the game around in just one spell. The wickets at the Kotla has been unpredictable, but both teams have enough firepower to tide over any situation.

DC Predicted 11

Ishant Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Amit Mishra, Colin Munro, Chris Morris, Axar Patel, Shreyas Iyer (c), Kagiso Rabada, Rishabh Pant (wk), Keemo Paul, Prithvi Shaw

MI Predicted 11

Lasith Malinga, Rohit Sharma (c), Kieron Pollard, Jason Behrendorff, Suryakumar Yadav, Quinton de Kock (wk), Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Ishan Kishan, Krunal Pandya, Rahul Chahar

Fantasy Team

Quinton de Kock is my preferred keeper for my Fantasy team, as he opens the innings, which will give him more freedom and opportunities to get a big knock under his belt. Pant from DC has made vital contributions as well, but he has the tendency of falling in crunch situations. Suryakumar Yadav has scored 183 runs thus far, and he bolsters the batting line-up, and as he is cheaper than Rohit Sharma, he makes for a good pick. Shikhar Dhawan got back to form with an unbeaten 97 against KKR, while Iyer is his side’s leading run-scorer with 266 runs from eight innings. He top scored with 45 against SRH and will have an important role to play, as will Prithvi Shaw, who has gone off the radar after starting with a bang.

Morris is the second highest wicket-taker for Delhi Capitals, with 11 wickets from 6 matches. He picked up 3 against SRH, which took his tally to seven wickets from the last three games. The two Pandya brothers – Hardik and Krunal have a lot of potentials, and have the ability to turn the game on its head in just one over with either bat or ball. Rabada and Bumrah are must-haves in the team, while Malinga – who had flown to Sri Lanka, returned to the IPL with a bang as he picked up wickets in the last game, to help MI over the line.

Captain and Vice-captain: Dhawan, Suryakumar Yadav
