Sourav Ganguly’s IPL journey began in 2008 as the captain of Kolkata Knight Riders. He played for the Kolkata-based franchise till the time Gautam Gambhir was handed over the responsibility. Gambhir led KKR to two IPL titles. While Sourav Ganguly is joining Delhi as an advisor, has been already appointed Mohammad Kaif as their assistant coach. These two ex-teammates will be joining former Australia Captain Ricky Ponting to make the strategy for Delhi.
Rejuvenated Delhi Capitals for IPL 2019
Shreyas Iyer led Delhi Capitals launched their new jersey a few days back. With the captain, Rishabh Pant and Prithvi Shaw were featured in a video with the new jersey. Delhi has been one of the most inconsistent teams in the Indian Premier League. Now with everything new- from advisor and mentor to jersey and name, hopefully, they will be able to change their IPL luck this season.
