IPL Match 35, Pre Match Preview: RCB seek to redeem themselves against the Dhoni-led team

IPL 2018 | Match 35 | CSK vs RCB: Chennai Super Kings will be playing against the Royal Challengers’ Bangalore today at Pune at 16:00 IST to take back the first position from the Sunrisers’ Hyderabad. Their last two losses allowed SRH to get ahead of them. RCB will be looking to take revenge for their last defeat by the Chennai boys on their home ground.

RCB requires this victory more than the yellow-clad men to qualify for the playoffs, while CSK sits comfortably at the second position. Ambati Rayudu, the star batsman of the season with captain MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Shane Watson and Dwayne Bravo will lead the batting front for CSK. While the likes of Shardul Thakur will defend the bowling front.

RCB is completely dependent on Virat Kohli, the only one who’s been consistently performing till now. AB De Villiers’ return to the team after a fever will prove to be an asset. Colin de Grandhomme also proved to play well under pressure being one of the main stars for their last victory against the Mumbai Indians. Yuzvendra Chahal along with Umesh Yadav and Tim Southee will be expected to lead the bowling front.

Both teams are known for their weak death bowling so it will be interesting to see who takes over. RCB helped CSK win easily last time with Siraj gifting them three wides in a row, they would look to not make the same mistake this time. CSK also had a hard time containing their opponents and allowed Mumbai Indians and the Kolkata Knight Riders to break their winning streak.

The teams of the current and former Indian captains will be clashing on the field today – be sure to watch this golden match.
