IPL 2018 | Match 43 | RR vs CSK: Rajasthan Royals placed sixth on the table, will look to continue their path to redemption as they clash with the Chennai Super Kings tonight at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur.

RR’s last victory against the Kings XI Punjab may have given them the required confidence to do the same in the remaining four games to make it to the playoffs. They also have the other incentive of getting back at their opponents who got the best of them in Pune.
The last few matches did not showcase the best performances from Rahul Tripathi and Ben Stokes as the team survived with the likes of captain Ajinkya Rahane and Sanju Samson. Jos Buttler came to their rescue in their last match as he broke their hattrick of defeats. Krishnappa Gowtham, Ish Sodhi, and Jofra Archer took care of the bowling area but RR still need major tweaks on both fronts to prevent facing an early elimination.

The MS Dhoni-led side is as strong as ever as they are just one win away from qualifying for the playoffs. Death bowling is an area the team still needs to improve on but their ability to chase and put up an entertaining game for all IPL fans to watch has generally overshadowed the weakness. Ambati Rayudu, Shane Watson, Dwayne Bravo, Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni are just some of the big names in their batting line-up. Ravindra Jadeja and Harbhajan Singh also seem to have come back to their form in the last match against RCB.

Another aspect of this match will be RR’s transition from blue to pink jerseys to show their support and raise awareness for early cancer screening.

“As a player, I think this initiative is a small but crucial step towards a direction of cancer-free society and I hope that we perform to the best of our ability to raise as much awareness as we can”, stated Rahane.

Home base has proved to be auspicious for the RR as they secured three wins out of the four games played on that field this season.

Will RR be able to take down CSK? Watch tonight to find out.
