IPL Match 46, Pre-Match Analysis: CSK one win away from the playoffs1 min read

CSK VS SRH

IPL 2018 | Match 46 | CSK vs SRH: The two teams on top are to clash at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune today at 16:00 IST.

The Chennai Super Kings are one win away from a position in the playoffs while the Sunrisers Hyderabad have already booked a seat. It is bowling vs batting as CSK will attempt to do what they do best against the bowling prowess of SRH.

CSK were held back with their defeat by RR on Friday as they were unable to defend their total. Their batsmen remain in form with MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu and Shane Watson providing consistent and dependable performances. Their main problem lies in bowling with their misfielding being the cause of their loss. Ravindra Jadeja and Harbhajan Singh showed a glimpse of a comeback and will be expected to rise up for the cause today as well. The rest of the bowling efforts will be handed over to pacers Lungi Ngidi, Shardul Thakur, and David Willey. Death over bowling will be the main area of concern for the yellow brigade as their opponents are more than capable of chasing and defending as they have shown time and again in their past matches.

SRH, on the other hand, is on cloud nine with nine consecutive wins and a reputation of being unbeatable. Their spinner duo – Shakib Al Hasan and Rashid Khan will take care of the bowling front along with pacers Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Siddarth Kaul. Batsmen Shikhar Dhawan and Kane Williamson have proved to be more than enough on the batting side to balance out the team.

This may just be an edge-of-the-seat thriller that we didn’t even know we wanted. Watch to find out who comes out on top!
