A statement in the club’s official website read: “It’s now time for a return to Italy and an exciting new adventure with Inter. #WelcomeKeita and best of luck for this adventure with the Nerazzurri!”
Keita Balde began his career in the Barcelona youth system in 2004. In 2010, he was loaned to Catalan side Unió Esportiva Cornellà where the forward scored a mesmerizing 47 goals in a single season.
In the next season, he accepted an offer from Italian side Lazio where he showed exceptional potential, playing a key role as the side won both a youth Scudetto and Coppa Italia. These remarkable displays caught the attention of the then-First Team Coach Vladimir Petkovic and in 2013, he made his professional debut against Chievo Verona at the Stadio Olimpico. Keita Balde then became a consistent member of the senior Lazio side, also making his debut in the Europa League and the preliminary rounds of the Champions League in the 2015-16 season. The Senegal international surely proved himself as one of the most exciting stars in all of Serie A during the 2016-17 season when he scored 16 goals from 31 appearances.

Keita’s extraordinary rise did not go unheeded by the giants in Europe. Just last summer, the winger moved to the then Ligue 1 champions AS Monaco after making 137 appearances and netting 31 goals for Lazio. For Monaco, he played 33 matches last season, scoring 8 goals as they finished as runners-up in Ligue 1. Now the skillful winger returns to the Serie A with Inter Milan and will hope to continue his prolific form in Italy.
Internationally, Keita Balde made his debut on 2016 and has since earned 20 caps and netted 3 goals. The forward has played for Senegal at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations and was also a part of the squad that traveled to Russia for the World Cup this year.
