Despite not having the riches of Real Madrid or Barcelona, Atletico Madrid has always competed at the highest level. The Los Rojiblancos have made some clever signings across the Seasons and now have built a formidable Squad. A Squad that can not only challenge for the La Liga title but also goes on to make a dent in Europe. Diego Simeone usually plays a 4-4-2 but with the addition of Thomas Lemar and Gelson Martins, we’re going with a 4-3-3.
GK – Jan Oblak
Jan Oblak has kept more clean sheets (50) in LaLiga for Atletico Madrid than he has conceded goals (49).

The Slovenian International is one of the best in the business and he makes this team no questions asked. Rock Solid.

Traditionally a Centre-Back, Lucas Hernandez is versatile and can play at Left-Back. The Frenchman was at the top of his game at the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The Winners Medal should instill some Confidence in the Youngster when he comes out to play for Atletico.
CB – Jose Maria Giminez
José María Giménez was honoured in his hometown Toledo today for his performances for Uruguay at the World Cup.

The 23-Year-old was impressive in the World Cup and is very Physically strong. Jiminez is exceptional in the air and has the potential to become the best Centre-Back in the World.
CB – Diego Godin (C)

If his compatriot Giminez has the potential to become the best well Diego Godin is Probably the best Centre-Back in the World. Godin will also most Probably lead Atletico Madrid.
RB – Sime Vrsaljko

Another Player who had a terrific World Cup. Sime Vrsaljko and Croatia beat all the odds and made the World Cup Final. Atleti’s defence looks strong, really strong.
CDM – Rodri

The New signing will most probably slot in at CDM. Rodri was a regular at Villareal and is definitely an upgrade over Thomas Partey and Gabi.
CM – Saul Niguez

Saul is one of the Best Young Midfielders in the World. The Spaniard has stepped up for Atletico Madrid when it has mattered the most.
CM – Koke

Atletico’s Mr. Consistent. Koke has been magnificent for the Los Rojiblancos and his abilities as a playmaker are well known.
LW -Thomas Lemar
— Transfer News Live (@DeadlineDayLive) July 27, 2018
The Frenchman was one of the most sought-after forwards over the last year or so. Lemar has been Monaco’s go-to man and will be a brilliant addition to Atletico’s potent attack.
ST – Diego Costa

Atletico Madrid bad boy and Defender bully. Diego Costa isn’t the most appropriate Forward you can have but is extremely effective and competent. All the best to the Centre-Backs in La Liga, they’re going to get pushed and abused, a lot.
