Anthony Martial is set to return to training with Manchester United but is still expected to face a club fine from manager Jose Mourinho after his early departure from Manchester United’s US tour. Martial left the tour last Wednesday before the game against Milan to attend the birth of his son, Swan Anthony, in Paris. After United’s last game against Real Madrid manager, Jose Mourinho said he does not know when Martial would return in a press conference. Mourinho is undoubtedly good as a manager, but his antics off the pitch portray him as a horrible human being.
Later the same day, Martial tweeted, “My little Swan is fine, for the mum it was harder but thanks to God she’s better now. Sorry, but my family will always come first … Back tomorrow in Manchester.” It is clear that Martial wants to leave Manchester United due to lack of game time, but Jose Mourinho is reluctant to sell him. Martial now faces a fine of £180,000 for failure to return sooner, under the supervision of Mourinho’s staff. The manager pointed praise at the majority of the squad at the end of their five-game tour as goals from Sanchez and Herrera gave them a 2 – 1 victory over Real Madrid.

“With the fantastic spirit we have in the majority of the players – I repeat, in the majority of the players, we have a fantastic spirit – we go with everything we have for the start of the Premier League,” said Mourinho, who revealed that the Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku has cut short his holiday by three days to return to training. United now play Bayern as their last friendly before the start of the new season. Martial on the other hand, if Martial doesn’t find a way out of United, it looks like he is set to spend another season on the bench, a complete waste of a man who was once tipped to achieve great things at a great club, with a “great manager” but a horrible human being.
