Paco Alcacer and Jadon Sancho, the most prolific dup in Europe?

English Youngster, Jadon Sancho, and Barcelona Loanee Paco Alcacer have been in top form for Borussia Dortmund and have been promising for their National sides as well. Sancho has been a revelation at Dortmund and the former Watford and Manchester City Youth player is slowly cementing his place in the first team Squad. Jadon Sancho has made 11 appearances for the German Club this Season, Scoring twice and assisting 7 times. Striker Paco Alcacer has also been a revelation at Dortmund and is flourishing at the Signal Iduna Park, away from the pressures and expectations of the Camp Nou at his parent Club Barcelona. Alcacer has scored 8 goals for Borussia Dortmund from five appearances, of which, 3 came from the bench.

Dortmund are undoubtedly Bayern Munich’s biggest rivals in the Bundesliga, but in recent times the Club has lost a lot of players to big money Transfers and you always felt that they haven’t replaced them with like for like signings. It all started last Season when the Club were handed a big blow losing French Star, Ousmane Dembele to Barcelona in a deal that could go up to 145 Million Euros in add-ons. Subsequently, they lost Pierre Emerick Aubameiyang to Arsenal in the Winter Transfer Window. The Popular opinion was that Dortmund won’t be able to replace these two players and 12 months later we’ve been rightly proven wrong.

Jadon Sancho’s Coach at Watford’s Youth Academy, Louis Lancaster in an interview with Sky Sports still remembers a 13-Year-Old Jadon Sancho’s ambition “He looked me in the eye and said he wanted to play for one of Europe’s top clubs and represent his country to make his family proud.” Hardly five years later both his dreams were gonna come True, Sancho was slowly becoming a regular at Borussia Dortmund and has even gone on to get his first England cap against Croatia. Jadon Sanch has often been described as a “Street-Footballer” because of his flair and ability to produce magic on the pitch. Sancho has been hailed as England’s answer to Neymar. A tall claim, but no one can deny the Potential.

Sancho has registered Six assists for Borussia Dortmund this Season, more than any other player in Europe’s top flight. Speaking of records, Paco Alcacer has scored every single shot on target in the Bundesliga this Season and Dortmund are ready to pay his 28 Million Euro fee (Including potential add-ons). Alcacer was deemed a 30 Million flop at Barcelona and now the Catalan Club can recoup the Money they spent on the Player and Alcacer gets the opportunity to move to a Club where he is playing extremely well. Talk about a win-win situation.

Alcacer also scored three goals on his return to the Spanish National team and now without a sinew of Doubt, it can be said that Dortmund have replaced the players they lost in attack with great players and more importantly with younger players that could take the Club to great heights.
