Premier League Transfer Season: Let the Rumours begin!2 min read

The Premier League has come to a close and the new Season wouldn’t resume until August, that means we’re in for some Transfer talk, and with the World Cup less than three weeks away, the clubs will have to accelerate their negotiations before players head to Russia and stall Negotiations till July.

Let’s have a look at the Transfer Rumours involving The top 6 in the Premier League.

Manchester City

Club Legend Yaya Toure is set to leave at the end of the season, The Ivorian has been exceptional across for the blue side of Manchester and was one of the first key players signed by the revamped ‘Sheikh Mansoor Manchester City’ that has been a force to be reckoned with in the Premier League.

Man City has been heavily linked with Napoli Midfielder Jorginho for a fee in the 50 Million Pound region. The Defensive Midfielder would be an excellent signing and would add depth to Man City’s already lethal midfield.

Manchester United

Manchester United has been one of the biggest spenders in the Transfer Market and more of the same is expected from them this Season. Anthony Martial is allegedly growing frustrated at Manchester United due to a lack of Game time, the Red Devils are willing to let the Frenchman go, provided he doesn’t join a direct rival.

United have been heavily linked with Belgium and Spurs centre-back Toby Alderweirald, Tottenham have valued the Belgian at 75 Million Pounds. Alderweirald is one of the top defenders in the league and would really strengthen United’s defense, initial talks have begun and it would be interesting to see if this Transfer comes to fruition.

Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs aren’t big spenders and usually spend a lot of time scouting players before coughing up any kind of fee, it’s too early for a club like Spurs to enter the market. In terms of players departing the club, Alderweirald to Manchester United seems like a serious possibility.

Liverpool

Liverpool often spend big only after selling one of their star players for a big fee, their spending sprees in recent times have come after the sale of Fernando Torres (50 Million Pounds) and Luis Suarez ( 65 Million Pounds ) considering Liverpool received an initial 105 Million pounds, Liverpool can go all guns blazing. The Merseyside Club is set to lose Midfielder Emre Can on a free transfer to Juventus to be allegedly announced after the Champions League Final.

Liverpool Had already Confirmed the signing of Naby Keita on a Pre-contract in 2017 for a 66 Million Pound fee and are also apparently looking to sign Lyon Midfielder Nabil Fekir. Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas begged to differ, “For the moment, nothing has been decided. You’ll have to be very rich to recruit Nabil Fekir this year.”

Chelsea

The Blues had a disappointing 2017 transfer window followed by an even more disappointing 2017/18 Season. With Alvaro Morata spotted in Italy talking to Juventus’ Sporting director in Italy with rumors suggesting a return to Turin. Morata often goes to Italy and the meeting could have been a coincidence, with no initial negotiations only time will tell.

Chelsea has also set a potential Manager-Transfer merry go round, Carlo Ancelotti has signed for Napoli and with Napoli finishing Second in the Serie A this season, it’s unlikely that he would leave Naples without having his future sorted.

Arsenal

Having appointed Unai Emery early, the Gunners will be looking to ensure the transition goes smoothly for both the players and the newly appointed boss. Arsenal is often referred to as misers in the Premier League as they never want to loosen their purse strings, but with the recruitment of forwards Alexandre Lacazette (46.5 Million Pounds) and Piere-Emmerick Aubameiyang (56 Million Pounds), Emery would be hoping the owners could be as generous this season as well.

But with reports in the Mirror suggesting that Emery would have a meager 50 Million pounds to work with, it would be interesting to see how the new boss would cope with the rest of his rivals who have really deep pockets.
