The Champions League is no doubt the most coveted trophy in Club Football and Real Madrid proved once again that they’re the greatest team in Europe. Benzema’s presence of mind, Gareth Bale’s exceptional overhead kick and Loris Karius’s blunders, the Final had it all.
Former Real and Liverpool player Xabi Alonso cleverly took a neutral standpoint making sure he satisfied both sets of fans.

One of the major talking points before the game was how would Real Madrid cope with Mohamed Salah and 26 minutes into the game Sergio Ramos took Salah to ground with him, resulting in the Egyptian dislocating his shoulder and Ramos becoming one of the most hated men in Merseyside.
Sergio Ramos is a disgusting player…
He is a disgrace of the beautiful sports Football..@realmadrid might have won the match..but these deeds done by Ramos are not worldly praised by the true fans of Football…#UCLfinal #LIVRMA pic.twitter.com/ktvWdiSQhK

Gareth Bale’s overhead kick sent Zinedine Zidane and Social Media in a frenzy! The Welshman was left out of the Starting XI and just three minutes after coming on he was almost levitating in mid-air before putting the ball in the back of the net. Bale has allegedly been unhappy at Real Madrid and has been linked to a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu, the pacy winger didn’t shy away from talking about his future.

Loris Karius had a dismal outing on the biggest stage in Club football and was the talk of the town post the final, with people criticizing or showing their support. For more on the Champions League Final and The German Goalkeeper check out, Loris Karius slips the trophy into Real’s hands.
Lots of talk about Liverpool standing by Loris Karius after the Kiev debacle but the brutal truth is if they want to fulfil their ambitions he must be replaced. Not good enough.
