German Central Midfielder Sami Khedira has extended his contract with Italian Giants and Serie A defending Champions, Juventus till 2021. Khedira has been a mainstay in the Bianconeri’s midfield and can play as a holding Midfielder, in a ball winner role or even as a traditional Number 6 midfielder. Juve announced on Wednesday that Khedira penned a fresh 2-Year-Contract.

Juventus also revealed that the German has an option to extend his contract by a year and considering Manager Massimiliano Allegri and Khedira share a good working relationship, it’s probable that he will extend his stay in Turin. Khedira has played 8,882 minutes in all competitions over the last three Seasons, which is more than any other Midfielder in that same period.

The 2014 World Cup winner expressed his happiness and gratitude on Twitter, “I just extended my contract at until 2021. Since my first day I’ve had a special feeling and it quickly felt like home here. I’m very proud to be a part of the great history of the club and of the Juventus family. Let’s continue to make black and white history.”

Khedira, like most of the German team, was poor in the 2018 World Cup but in the Serie A, Sami Khedira had his personal best Goals tally in a Season as he netted nine times to help Juventus achieve a seventh consecutive Scudetto. Considering Khedira had only one Year left oh his Contract, Juve have ensured that they won’t lose him for Free.

The 31-Year-old has been prolific for Juventus but with age, he is likely to get sluggish and slow. Juventus seemed to have signed his heir in Emre Can. Khedira’s Compatriot Can hasn’t got a lot of game time but we can expect the 24-year-old to replace Sami Khedira in the Future. Most probably for Both Club and Country. Till then we know for a fact we have at least three more Seasons of Khedira’s consistent displays in the middle of the park.
