Borussia Dortmund drew with Hertha Berlin in a high-scoring 2 – 2 Draw. Jadon Sancho and Salomon Kalou scored braces for Dortmund and Berlin respectively in this exciting encounter. Sancho continued to break ground for Dortmund as the 18-year-old Englishman continues to take the Bundesliga by a storm as his tally goes up to 4 Goals and 6 assists. While former Chelsea star Salomon Kalou ended a 5-month Goal drought with his brace and even scored an extra-time equalizer for his team to steal a point from the League leaders.

Dortmund started the game with great momentum, Full-back Achraf Hakimi and Jadon Sancho almost opening the scoring in the opening Five minutes. Dortmund continued to dominate the game and their dominance bore fruit as Jadon Sancho put them in the lead with a shot from a tight angle off of a Mario Gotze cross. Dortmund continued to be the better team out of the two but a moment of magic from Maximilian Mittelstadt who Found Salomon Kalou with a scintillating cross and the Ivorian found the back of the net despite Roman Burki getting a hand to the ball. The score was 1 – 1 at Half-time.

Dortmund went 2-1 up at the Hour mark with a beautiful passage of play. Full-Back Achraf Hakimi pierced through the defence with an amazing pass to Captain Marco Reus, but the German played the decoy card and faked a touch to put the ball through for Jadon Sancho who just had to tap the ball home. Borussia Dortmund continued to play attacking football and create a trunkload of chances but couldn’t put the game to bed. In the 77th Minute, Raphael Guerreiro found himself one-on-one with Berlin keeper, Jarstein but couldn’t convert the opportunity as Jarstein made a wonderful save. Similarly, substitute Jacob Bruun Larsen couldn’t convert his opportunity from close range in the last few minutes of normal time. Dortmund would eventually go on to regret the moment.

With just 3 minutes of stoppage time, Dortmund centre-back Zagadou fouled Substitute Davie Selke inside the box to concede a late-late penalty. Kalou Stepped up to the occasion and tucked the ball into the top-right Corner to steal a point. It was a disappointing result for the home side but they continued to play attractive and attacking Football that we saw them play in their last game against Atletico as well.
