The second week of the Serie A comes to an end, a week full of comebacks. Here we pick the best eleven performers of the week from the Italian division.

Formation 3-2-2-2-1

Goalkeeper – Marco Sportiello (Frosinone)

Marco Sportiello put in a brilliant performance to keep a clean sheet as recently promoted side Frosinone drew 0-0 against Bologna.

Right Centre Back – Joao Cancelo (Juventus)

The new signing Joao Cancelo had a good start to his Juventus career as he kept a clean sheet against one of the most prolific sides in the Serie A, Lazio.

Centre Back – Domenico Criscito (Genoa)

Domenico Criscito, who was making his debut in the Serie A, assisted both of Genoa‘s goals as his side beat Empoli 2-1 last week.

Left Centre Back – Bram Nuytinck (Udinese)

Bram Nuytinck put in a really diligent performance for Udinese against Sampdoria as his side kept a tough clean sheet.

Defensive Midfield – Manuel Lazzari (SPAL)

The 24-year-old Italian controlled the game from midfield and provided the only assist of the game as SPAL beat Parma 1-0.

Defensive Midfield – Piotr Zielinski (Napoli)

Piotr Zielinski became Napoli‘s hero as he scored a brace, inspiring his team to come from behind to beat AC Milan 3-2.

Centre Midfield – Seko Fofana (Udinese)

Seko Fofana inspired his side to a close 1-0 victory against Sampdoria. The 23-year-old Ivorian also provided the sole assist of the game.

Centre Midfield – Marco Benassi (Florentina)

Marco Benassi scored a brace as Florentina battered Chievo 6-1 last week. The Italian midfielder proved himself as one of the most promising players of the Serie A.

Left Attacking Midfield – Javier Pastore (Roma)

The former PSG midfielder put in an excellent performance in a 6 goal thriller against Atalanta. Pastore scored the opener of the game in the form of an audacious backheel.

Right Attacking Midfield – Emiliano Ariel Rigoni (Atalanta)

The 24-year-old Argentinean was one of the most impressive players in the game week 2 of Serie A. Rigoni scored a brace against Roma to hold them to a 3-3 draw.

Striker – Leonardo Pavoletti (Cagliari)

Leonardo Pavoletti scored the 2 goals which helped Cagliari earn a draw against Sassuolo. The Italian striker put in the performance of a classic no.9.
