IPL 2018 | Match 23 | MI vs SRH: Sunrisers Hyderabad is all set to clash with the Mumbai Indians tonight at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai at 20:00 IST. Both have lost their footing in the IPL and are looking to come back up. Being the 24th match of this season, MI meet SRH on the field again after two weeks.

SRH started the season with a bang with three consecutive victories, but KXIP managed to breach that fortress and they suffered another loss at the hands of CSK. SRH still has the strongest bowling force restricting CSK to the lowest powerplay score this season.

MI, on the other hand, managed only one victory out of five. Their first home game against RR did not go as well as planned. They should hope to do better tonight in their second game on the same field, having the edge of having played on the pitch.

MI has batsmen like Suryakumar Yadav, Evin Lewis, Ishan Kishan, Rohit Sharma and Kieron Pollard – who have amazing skill at the game but their partnership is missing. The team tends to rely on only one of the batsmen to perform well while the rest lose their nerve and leave the field quickly.

With Shikhar Dhawan still going through physio, SRH will depend on Kane Williamson who has delivered and has a good season so far. Wriddhiman Saha and Yusuf Pathan will be expected to up their game and support Williamson. Shakib Al Hasan has played decently so he will be expected to step up as well.

Mumbai Indians have a variety of bowlers to choose from – Mustafizur Rahman, Mayank Markande, Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya. Krunal Pandya played a big role in MI’s only win this season. Bumrah and Rahman have brought MI to near-wins but they have also let too many slip out of their grasp. They would be expected to play smartly and lead the bowling front.

Rashid Khan and Billy Stanlake have been the favorites but have had inconsistent performances. Without Bhuvneshwar Kumar, SRH will be lacking but Rashid Khan will be expected to make up for his absence. All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has also proved that he can be relied on. Siddarth Kaul has tried to do his part bowling or fielding, he will be expected to do the same. SRH bowlers take wickets but they have let too many runs go away from them.

Both teams have spectacular players – some of the best T20 bowlers in the world, all-rounders, and explosive batsmen – but their problem is consistency and proper coordination.

There shouldn’t be many changes in the MI line-up. SRH will be missing two of their major players – Shikhar Dhawan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, so they may push Yusuf Pathan and Shakib Al Hasan up the ranks.

There are no signs of rain so there should be no disruption tonight.

Two teams with equal weaknesses will clash tonight – this will definitely be an entertaining match to watch!
