Chelsea Youngsters ruben loftus cheek

Chelsea are renowned to have one of the best Youth academies in the World with the Blues Colts the defending Champions of the Under-18 Premier League and are also the most successful English Team in the UEFA Youth League having won the Tournament twice.

So here’s a look at five exciting Chelsea youngsters who have Potential to achieve great things at Stamford Bridge in the years to come. Note that any player under the age of 23 is considered a youngster and even players from Chelsea’s Loan army are being taken into consideration. So here it is.

5. Mason Mount- 19 Years Old

The 19-Year-old is Touted to be one of the best Midfielders for not only Chelsea but also for England. Mount is Currently on Loan at Derby County where under Frank Lampard he is continuing his development and is turning some heads.

Mason Mount

Mount had a chance to show his parent Club what he’s made of when Derby squared off against Chelsea in the League Cup where Chelsea had to work exceptionally hard to register a 3 – 2 win over Derby but Mount proved his mettle with a Wonderful assist and exceptional passing from Midfield.

4. Callum Hudson-Odoi- 18 Years Old

Hudson-Odoi was the talk of the town during the whole of Chelsea’s Pre-Season. With Eden Hazard and Willian recovering from long World Cup campaigns, Callum Hudson-Odoi Stepped in and was absolutely sensational.

Callum Hudson-Odoi

Though the youngster didn’t score any goals he showed an awful amount of flair and drive as he dribbled past defenders with ease to create Goals for Chelsea. With reports emerging that Hudson-Odoi is now set for a Loan move in order to get more game time, we sincerely hope that he hits the ground running at his Club and comes back a much-improved player.

3. Ethan Ampadu- 18 Years Old

Ampadu is a special player. Let me tell you why Firstly, the Welsh youngster is versatile and can be deployed at CM, CDM and at CB.

Ethan Ampadu

Second, he has the composure and calmness of a Seasoned campaigner, Ampadu made his debut for Chelsea at the age of 17 and he was calm on the ball, effective and very Impressive. He is a regular in the Senior Welsh team and has just signed a new long-term contract with Chelsea. Big things are expected from Ampadu, let’s see if he can live up to the expectation.

2. Andreas Christensen- 22 Years Old

Christensen may have been neglected by Sarri this Season but I still feel the Danish youngster has a future at Stamford Bridge, or at least I hope he does.

Andreas Christensen

Christensen has maturity and solidity that is way beyond his years, he is expected to be one of the greatest Centre-Backs of his Generation. With an aging David Luiz, Christensen needs to start taking seriously, the game time he gets and needs to impress Maurizio Sarri soon. If Chelsea let him go, like Mohamed Salah, Kevin De Bruyne, and Romelu Lukaku, Christensen would be another one that got away.

1. Ruben Loftus-Cheek- 22 Years Old

Loftus-Cheek has been spoken about for a long time and to be fair he’s lived up to the hype as well. Loftus-Cheek’s performances for Chelsea this Season have been particularly good especially in a Home game against BATE Borisov where he went on to score a Hattrick.

Chelsea Youngsters ruben loftus cheek

With Reports emerging that Loftus-Cheek will be loaned out for 6 Months in January and maybe Half a Season of regular Game-Time and no injuries is exactly what the English International needs. Furthermore, Cesc Fabregas is bound to leave the Club and Mateo Kovacic’s future is still unclear so maybe coming back an improved player with lesser competition may just elevate Loftus-Cheek’s Chelsea Career.

Match Preview: Chelsea vs Derby County | Frank Lampard comes Home!

Match Preview: Chelsea vs Derby County | Frank Lampard comes Home!

EFL Cup: Chelsea Legend Frank Lampard returns to his old hunting ground, Stamford Bridge but this time as Derby County Manager.

Chelsea takes on Championship side Derby County on Wednesday as a Chelsea Legend comes home. Frank Lampard will be in the away dressing room as Derby Manager. Lampard has expressed his excitement to come back to the Club he still considers “Home” and Stamford Bridge will be all set to Welcome “Super Frank” back home. It won’t only be Chelsea’s record Goalscorer coming home, Loaned Players Mason Mount and Fikayo Tomori have also been given the clear by Chelsea to represent Derby and maybe prove to their parent Club that they’re worthy of a first-team place. It will be an emotional encounter with Chelsea going in as definite favourites but the blues will have to be cautious of Lampard’s Derby team considering, they knocked out Manchester United after playing very well in a 2-2 Draw and beat them 7-8 on Penalties.

Team News Chelsea:

Eden Hazard is expected to be rested as he’s still recovering from a minor back injury while Spanish Winger Pedro who was subbed off early in the first half against Burnley is also a doubt, Sarri said in the Press Conference after the Burnley game that Pedro was suffering from “A very Strong Stomach Ache”. If such is the case and both wingers are rested along with Willian, it could be Callum Hudson-Odoi and Victor Moses starting on either Wing. Sarri is expected to rest a few other first-team players but maybe shouldn’t be too indulgent as Derby have proven time and again that they are no pushovers.

Predicted XI: Caballero, Emerson, Christensen, Cahill, Zappacosta, Fabregas, Loftus-Cheek, Kovacic, Hudson-Odoi, Giroud, Moses

Team News Derby County:

The Championship side has no apparent injury updates and it seems like Frank Lampard will have his whole squad available for this enormous fixture. The Big news involving the team is that Chelsea have given Loaned players Mason Mount and Fikayo Tamori the Clear to play and Frank Lampard has referred to this as a “Classy Move” from his former side. Chelsea released a statement as to why they let these players play against their Parent Club when usually that isn’t the norm, they said: “We believe the experience of facing a top-level opposition once more will be of benefit to their ongoing development.”

Predicted XI: Carson, Malone, Tamori, Keogh, Bogle, Mount, Huddlestone, Wilson, Lawrence, Mariott, Waghorn

Key Players for Chelsea: Ruben Loftus-Cheek

Loftus-Cheek has been excellent over the last two games scoring four goals and making a big impact. Considering Majority of the Chelsea bench will be playing tonight Loftus-Cheek will need to step up and be the big-Match player we know he’s capable of being.

Key Players for Derby County: Mason Mount

You know that Chelsea’s Youth Academy has done something right when both key Players are Academy Graduates. Mason Mount is Para”Mount” to the way Derby play, Pun intended, the Englishman has made more key passes than any other player in the Championship and may compare him to Manager Frank Lampard.

Chelsea 3 – 1 BATE | Ruben Loftus-Cheek stars in emphatic win

Chelsea 3 - 1 BATE | Ruben Loftus-Cheek stars in emphatic win

Chelsea Midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek starred for the Blues with a Hattrick against Belarus Champions BATE Borisov. The English Midfielder has been on the fringes of the Squad and this could be his big break.

Chelsea took all three points against BATE Borisov to keep their 100% record in the Europa League intact. By virtue of the win, the Blues remain on top of Group L. Ruben Loftus-Cheek was the main Protagonist in the win and the Chelsea Youth Academy Graduate and England International scored a scintillating Hattrick with his first two Goals coming inside the first eight minutes. Apart from Loftus-Cheek, the Blues’ Prodigal Young Winger, Callum Hudson-Odoi was also awarded some much-deserved first team Minutes.

In the past Europa League games against PAOK and Vidi the rotated Chelsea squad looked underwhelming when compared to the swashbuckling stylish side we see in the Premier League every week. This wasn’t the case last night, the Blues looked hungry and the likes of Loftus-Cheek, Fabregas, Willian and even Olivier Giroud played with intent and desire.

That desire was clearly depicted when Ruben Loftus-Cheek made a perfectly timed run inside the box to meet Davide Zappacosta’s cross with excellent precision to open the scoring in the 2nd Minute. The Englishman met the ball with unstoppable pace to put it past BATE keeper Scherbitski. The England International added a second just six minutes later when he positioned himself perfectly to meet Willian’s corner with a side-footed volley, ahead of Olivier Giroud to claim his second Goal of the match. The Blues continued to look threatening in attack and BATE looked disorganised in attack, often giving away possession too cheaply. Maurizio Sarri’s side went into the break with a 2-0 lead.

Loftus-Cheek completed scored his third Goal just 8 minutes after the second-Half kicked-off. He started an attack at the half-line and passed it on to Pedro who teed the Englishman up outside the box, Loftus-Cheek pulled the trigger and swirled away in celebration as the ball found the bottom right corner. Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s Hattrick was a first by an English Chelsea Player in a European competition since Peter Scored five in the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup back in 1971.

The Home side showed some signs of complacency in the 79th Minute as the defence seemed to switch off. Stasevich’s excellent delivery from a free-Kick dumbfounded the Chelsea defence to find Midfielder Alexei Rios who tapped in from close range. But the result was beyond any doubt with the goal being nothing more than a consolation for the Belarusian Champions.

Chelsea 2 – 2 Manchester United | Jose Mourinho left distraught

Chelsea 2 - 2 Manchester United | Jose Mourinho steals the limelight

Premier League 2018/19 Highlights: Chelsea VS Manchester United, a thriller in every aspect ended in a 2 – 2 draw at the Bridge. Stamford Bridge, a ground where Jose Mourinho dominated for so many Seasons was, in the end, an amalgamation of frustrations for Mourinho as a dramatic and controversial ending left the United manager distraught.

A thrilling encounter at the Stamford Bridge saw Chelsea deprive Mourinho’s Manchester United of a famous win as Ross Barkley scored a 95th-minute equalizer. The game was marred by controversy, as soon as Ross Barkley scored the 95th Minute equalizer Chelsea’s second Assistant Coach, Marco Ianni took the celebrations to Jose Mourinho. The Former Napoli assistant sprinted towards Mourinho and celebrated by swinging his clenched fist. Marco Ianni was Sarri’s Assistant at Napoli and has followed him to the Chelsea job as well. The Fixture lived up to it’s potential and a Draw can be considered a fair result as Chelsea dominated for about 60 Minutes while Manchester United were excellent for the next thirty.

The tempo of the game in the opening minutes was unsurprisingly low, considering both teams had a bulk of their players returning from International duty and a lot of the players seemed tired. But given that the players were fatigue can in no circumstances be presented as an excuse for Paul Pogba’s negligence. As Chelsea won a corner in the 21st Minute, Willian’s delivery found Centre-Back, Antonio Rudiger’s head who put the Blues in front. Paul Pogba was marking the German defender and Pogba seemed to have gone to sleep as Rudiger was left completely free and the Frenchman looked distraught.

Chelsea continued to dominate possession in the first half and continued to play with Sarri’s signature attractive style. The Blues kept racking up the passes with Jorginho at the centre of it all and even looked threatening in the final third but couldn’t create any substantial chances.

Whatever Jose Mourinho said to his players at Half-time seemed to transform Manchester United, the players looked a lot more agile, hungry and organised. Just 10 minutes after the break United forwards plummeted into the box and put pressure on the home side’s defence. Juan Mata took the first shot that forced Kepa to pull off a good save but after the rebound and a few ricochets, the ball landed with Anthony Martial who tucked it away with a good volley to bring the game level.

Post the equaliser it seemed like Chelsea got flustered and seemed to have forgotten their own philosophy of Football. Instead of the general quick one-touch ground passing, we saw the Midfielders dart in long balls which according to Maurizio Sarri, the team wasn’t prepared for. It was pretty clear that United’s resurgence is what flustered Chelsea and the Red Devils took advantage of the situation, It was Anthony Martial once again who received Rashford’s pass on the edge of the Penalty area and with a clever first touch set himself up for a brilliant curling finish to put United ahead.

It all seemed over for Chelsea but like most things in this beautiful game, the result was unpredictable and thrilling. As the official lifted his board to show 6 additional minutes, Stamford bridge began to believe, at the stroke of the 95th Minute David Luiz headed Pedro’s cross straight at the post while Rudiger fired his shot straight at David De Gea this time, the rebound fell straight to Ross Barkley who smashed in his first Chelsea goal at the Bridge. Barkley has started to consistently perform with a good Performance against Southampton as well. Barkley ensured that Chelsea maintained their unbeaten start while Mourinho was deprived of a win at a ground where he has found so much success. Though Marco Lanni marked the game with a rather unpleasant memory, it should be remembered for the quality of Football at display and not the distractions around it.

Premier League: Chelsea VS Manchester United | Stamford Bridge | 5 PM IST

The Premier League is back in action after the International Break as free-flowing Chelsea host a still-turbulent Manchester United at Stamford Bridge. Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea have been in top form, and the Blues have looked spectacular under their new Coach, while Manchester United despite coming from behind against Newcastle in a tremendous 3 – 2 win at Home, is still not a convincing team, let alone Title Contenders.

Jose Mourinho will be returning to Stamford Bridge where he has won so much with Chelsea, but on the other hand, he’s yet to get a result at the Bridge with Manchester United. It promises to be an exciting encounter with Chelsea looking to keep their momentum going while United will be hoping to get something out of this game.

Team News: Chelsea

Antonio Rudiger has been influential for the Blues at the back, and the German International may not feature against Manchester United after he pulled his groin during the dying minutes of the 3 – 0 win against Southampton. Ethan Ampadu is also sidelined with a knee injury. Up Front Sarri will have to choose between Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata. The Italian Manager has more often than not gone with Giroud as his first choice but considering Morata has scored two goals in his last two appearances may just tip the balance in the Spaniard’s favour.

Predicted XI: Kepa, Alonso, Cahill, Luiz, Azpilicueta, Jorginho, Barkley, Kante, Hazard, Morata, Pedro

Team News: Manchester United

United are still waiting on the fitness of multiple players. Luke Shaw, Nemanja Matic, and Scott McTominay are all doubts for the Chelsea game. Marouane Fellaini is most likely ruled out with an apparent Hamstring injury. Diogo Dalot is also a doubt while Marcos Rojo remains a long-term absentee for the Red Devils. Alexis Sanchez has made a case to return to the starting line-up after scoring the last minute winner, bringing back memories of Fergie time.

Predicted XI: De Gea, Young, Smalling, Lindelof, Valencia, Pogba, Fred, Herrera, Sanchez, Lukaku, Martial

Key Players for Chelsea: Eden Hazard

The Belgian has been instrumental for Chelsea and is top of the Premier League goalscoring charts with 7 goals in 8 games. United will have to try to shut the Belgian down or else he may just single-handedly take the game away from them.

Key Players for Manchester United: Romelu Lukaku

Another Belgian makes the Key Player list! Lukaku may be dropping hints of a move to Juventus, but the Belgian is still a United player and is a pretty damn efficient striker. He will be looking to score against former club Chelsea and try to cause an upset.

Chelsea VS Liverpool, Match Prediction | Premier League

Chelsea VS Liverpool, Match Prediction | Premier League

Chelsea got the better of Liverpool in the midweek Carabao Cup fixture but now they lock horns in the Premier League, where the stakes are definitely higher. Chelsea and Liverpool will field their strongest line-ups unlike the Cup game and both teams will be hoping to improve after an abysmal defensive performance in the Cup. Chelsea certainly has the psychological edge and also have the Home advantage but taking a Full strength Liverpool lightly is something no team in the World can afford to do.

Team News

Chelsea- Pedro is a doubt after failing to recover from a Shoulder injury sustained against PAOK in the Europa League last week. Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Antonio Rudiger have returned to training but will have to clear a late fitness test in order to be in contention. Andreas Christensen has shaken off a stomach bug and is also available for selection. Olivier Giroud is likely to start ahead of Alvaro Morata, the Spaniard has been very poor in recent games.

Predicted XI: Arrizabalaga, Alonso, Cahill, Luiz, Azpilicueta, Kante, Kovacic, Jorginho, Hazard, Giroud, Willian

Liverpool- Liverpool’s teenage Right-Back sensation, Trent Alexander-Arnold has recovered from an illness and Giorginio Wijnaldum is back in contention (Knock). The big news coming out of Anfield that will probably worry Liverpool fans the most is that Centre-Back Virgil Van Dijk is likely to miss the game with a rib injury and the Dutch defender hasn’t trained all week. A Major blow for the Reds.

Predicted XI: Alisson, Robertson, Matip, Gomez, Alexander-Arnold, Keita, Milner, Wijnaldum, Mane, Firmino, Salah

Key Players

Chelsea- Eden Hazard

Hardly a surprise isn’t it? Hazard is Chelsea’s, main man and if the Belgian can reproduce some of that magic from midweek, Chelsea should have a good game.

Liverpool- Roberto Firmino

Firmino makes Liverpool’s front three tick, it’s his movement, communication, and understanding that makes Salah and Mane look good. The Brazilian will be key.

Eden Hazard stars against Cardiff as Chelsea go top of the table

Eden Hazard stars against Cardiff as Chelsea go top of the table

Chelsea Talisman, Eden Hazard scored only his second ever Chelsea hat-trick as the Blues beat Cardiff City 4-1 to go top of the Premier League Table. Maurizio Sarri joined an elite group of Managers after winning his first five games in charge of Chelsea, with only Craig Shakespeare, Pep Guardiola, and Carlo Ancelotti able to achieve the same. It was all positive for Chelsea, but for Cardiff on the other hand, the disappointment continued. Despite going 1-0 up in the first-half Neil Warnock’s side failed to get anything out of the game and suffered yet another loss.

Souleymane Bamba opened the scoring for Cardiff City in the 16th Minute, and the visitors were shockingly in front. Cardiff Goalkeeper Neil Etheridge denied Mateo Kovacic twice standing tall and wide. The Philippines keeper was pretty impressive till Eden Hazard wreaked havoc. The Belgian made a few quick one-touch passes, and after a set-up pass from Olivier Giroud, Hazard cut in and put the ball past Etheridge to equalize in the 37th Minute.

Hazard doubled up seven minutes later. Yet again it was Olivier Giroud who held up the ball beautifully making it easy for Hazard to tap in from close range. Giroud was exceptional as a Target man, and Hazard even went on to say that Giroud is probably the best Target man in the World.

Chelsea went into the break having completed a 2-1 comeback, but Cardiff was still very much in the game. Cardiff’s Bobby Decordova-Reid came close to scoring for the “Bluebirds”, but aside from that, it was Chelsea’s domination at the display. Hazard linked up with Willian and just like that the Brazilian found himself in the penalty box in a dangerous position. Willian was brought down by Sol Bamba, and the referee pointed to the spot. Eden Hazard coolly stepped up and scored his third goal of the game.

Willian capped off the win with an impressive goal from outside the box, slotting the ball straight into the top corner. Chelsea and Sarri continued their dominant start to the Premier League, and the Chelsea fans will be hoping things stay the same.

Chelsea vs Cardiff City | Premier League

Chelsea vs Cardiff City | Premier League

The International break is all wrapped up and Premier League Football returns! Chelsea take on minnows Cardiff at the Stamford Bridge on Saturday. The Blues have had a perfect start to the Premier League winning all four of their first four games and Maurizio Sarri will be hoping his team can shove aside relegation favorites Cardiff. The Visitors Cardiff City are yet to register a win in the Premier League and are Languishing at 16th Place. We’ll be expecting to see Chelsea go all out attack while Cardiff will be continuing to drop deep and Defend.

Team News

Chelsea- Milan Linked Cesc Fabregas has recently returned to full fitness but it’s likely that the Spaniard will have to go through another week’s training before returning to the Squad. Ruben Loftus Cheek is also a doubt after getting a knock on the Shin during the International break. Full-Backs Emerson Palmieri and Davidde Zappacosta are both out with an illness. In these circumstances, it will be interesting to see who makes the bench for Chelsea, with two regular substitutes in Loftus Cheek and Zappacosta ruled out. It may be a Chance for youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi or the forgotten Danny Drinkwater.

Predicted XI: Arizzabalaga, Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Luiz, Alonso, Kante, Jorginho, Kovacic, Pedro, Morata, Hazard

Cardiff City- Cardiff’s 11 Million Pound summer signing will be assessed before the start of the game as the Former Norwich player has a slight niggle in his hamstring. Aron Gunnarsson, who missed International duty for Iceland because of a Knee Problem is likely to miss the trip to West London. Nathaniel Mendez remains a long-term Absentee for Cardiff.

Predicted XI: Etheridge, Bennett, Bamba, Morrison, Manga, Hoilett, Arter, Ralls, Camarasa, Ward, Reid

Key Players

Chelsea- Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard has been in red-hot form for Chelsea and the Belgian has chipped in with 2 Goals and 2 assists in his last 4 appearances. Making him a genuine threat.

Cardiff City- Souleymane Bamba

The Ivorian has been a rock for Cardiff City at the back and his Physical presence will be needed if Cardiff is to salvage anything out of this game.

Prediction: Chelsea 2-0 Cardiff City

Chelsea will expectedly dominate possession and Cardiff’s deep-lying defense will be hard to break but Chelsea succeeded against Newcastle’s virtual back Nine and I see them having no problems whatsoever. I predict Eden Hazard and Marcos Alonso to find the back of the net.

Chelsea 2 – 0 Bournemouth | Premier League

Chelsea 2 - 0 Bournemouth | Premier League

Maurizio Sarri and Chelsea continued their Perfect Start to the Premier League with a hard-fought 2-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday. Chelsea continued to dominate Possession and play Sarri’s attacking style of Football but it took the Blues 72 Minutes to open the scoring via Pedro before Eden Hazard wrapped the game up 5 minutes from time with a sensational strike. After four games Chelsea are joint League Leaders with Liverpool with only Goal Difference separating the two sides. The Last time they won their first four games, the Blues went on to win the league in the 2014/15 Season.

Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth came into the game unbeaten taking 7 points from their first three games and were very Organised at Stamford Bridge. The Cherries didn’t let Chelsea’s superior possession change the outcome in the first half and Marcos Alonso’s post-bound strike was the best chance of the half. Chelsea started the second half with more Panache and vigor but Morata’s inability to deliver in the final third seemed to hamper their progress and the Spaniard was replaced by Olivier Giroud. Giroud’s ability as a Target man is unprecedented and it was the Frenchman who helped the team open the scoring. Pedro took the ball forward and after a quick one-two with Giroud and skilfully put the ball in the back of the net to open the scoring. Thirteen minutes later Eden Hazard exchanged passes with Alonso before drilling the ball past Former-Chelsea Keeper Asmir Begovic.

Centre-back Nathan Ake missed an open net from close range and put the ball into the stands. Ryan Fraser’s wide-shot in the 76th Minute proving to be their last chance. The Cherries were a genuine threat to Maurizio Sarri’s side but in the end, the Blues came out on top.
