Chelsea has reportedly accepted Real Madrid’s 35 Million Euro bid for Thibaut Courtois( According to RMC) but won’t let the World Cup Golden Glove winner go to Madrid without signing a replacement. So let’s take a look at five potential replacements for the departing Belgian.

1. Gianluigi Donnarumma (AC Milan)

Gianluigi Donnarumma has been linked with a move to Chelsea (According to the Evening Standard). The Milan Goalkeeper has been a prodigy of sorts, making 106 appearances for the Club and six appearances for Italy at the age of 19. Donnarumma has been a first-team regular since the age of 17 and has consistently been linked with a move away from the San Siro. According to the Standard, any deal involving Donnarumma could involve Alvaro Morata going to Milan.

2. Kasper Schmeichel (Leicester City)

Kasper Schmeichel has been consistent with Leicester City and has been linked with a move to Chelsea for over a week now (Sky Kaveh). At 31 Schmeichel is at his Prime, considering Goalkeepers even go on to play till their early 40’s. A Move to Chelsea will also be a perfect opportunity for the Dane to prove himself at a big Club after a pretty impressive World Cup.

3. Petr Cech (Arsenal)

There has been no link or bid for the former Chelsea keeper but it doesn’t seem like a bad idea, Cech spent 11 years in West London before moving to Arsenal in 2015. The Arsenal custodian is 36 years old and is entering the latter stages of his career, but as a short-time replacement, Petr Cech fits the bill.

4. Keylor Navas (Real Madrid)

Keylor Navas is World-Class, he’s done a pretty good job for Real Madrid and has even looked impressive for Costa Rica in the World Cup. A Cash plus player deal will do both clubs a world of good and will undoubtedly make Chelsea’s job easier. Think about it Chelsea, think about it.

5. Jack Butland (Stoke City)

He’s English, Younger than Courtois and has a pair of safe hands. Chelsea can probably sign Butland for cheap considering the Stoke have already let Xherdan Shaqiri go for peanuts (13.4 Million), and it isn’t exactly easy to make money in the Championship. Stoke would be looking to cash in, and the Blues should seriously consider this move.
