Kepa is the latest addition to this XI, knocking out Liverpool’s Alisson Becker who held the record for 20 days. Kepa is immensely talented but is he worth £71.6 Million? We have to wait and watch.
LB – Benjamin Mendy to Manchester City from AS Monaco – £52 Million, 2017
Manchester City coughed up £52 Million for the Frenchman. Mendy spent a majority of City’s title-winning campaign nursing a knee injury. By the end of the 2018 Football season, Mendy had a Premier League medal and was a part of France’s Squad that won the World Cup.

On 1st Jan, 2018, Liverpool broke the world transfer record for a defender, as the brought in Virgil van Dijk from Southampton for £75,000,000. He has single handedly improved our defence and has shown that he is worth every penny. pic.twitter.com/qv9c1XkOJj

The Dutch International has looked top class since his arrival at Anfield. Van Dijk is a Leader of men and was part of the reason why Liverpool made the Champions League Final. The £75 Million fee seems justified now.
CB – Aymeric Laporte to Manchester City from Atletic Bilbao – £58 Million, 2018
— Transfer News Live (@DeadlineDayLive) January 30, 2018
Laporte is one for the Future. The French Centre-back hasn’t had the best of starts to his career at the Etihad Stadium but considering the fact that he is only 24 years old works in his favour. The price tag is definitely inflated, but this is just how the market is now.
RB – Kyle Walker to Manchester City from Tottenham Hotspur – £54 Million, 2017
— Transfer News Live (@DeadlineDayLive) July 14, 2017
Walker was a key component of Pep Guardiola’s title-winning Season. Walker is, in my opinion, the best Right-Back in the Premier League and Manchester City are lucky to have him.

Pogba is a world class player and has proved it time and again at Manchester United. Sure he hasn’t been very consistent but nevertheless is a brilliant player and £90 Million Pounds well spent.

Coutinho is probably the best number 10 in the world. He is deadly from long range and is very quick on his feet, £142 Million Pounds is a steal for the little Brazilian.
CAM – James Rodriguez to Real Madrid from AS Monaco – £63 Million, 2014

James was one of the standout performers in the 2014 FIFA World Cup, scoring six goals and took Columbia till the Quarter-finals. So it was no surprise when Real Madrid paid £63 Million for him. Things didn’t work out for James at Madrid, and the Columbian is on Loan at Bayern Munich.

— Capital S Coast News (@CapitalSCNews) August 4, 2017
The most expensive player of all time. Neymar’s move to PSG has been historic and is part of the reason why the Transfer market is so inflated right now. The Brazilian is rated as one of the best players in the World, behind Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo,
ST – Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus- £100 Million, 2018
