Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shifts the 4th One Day International match to Brabourne Stadium (CCI).

The fourth One Day International match between West Indies and India is to be played on the 29th October 2018.

First, the venue for this match was the iconic Wankhede Stadium, but the BCCI officials announced that the 4th ODI match will be shifted to CCI, Brabourne stadium.

BCCI said that this decision was taken by the instructions given by the committee of administrators appointed by the honorable Supreme Court of India.

The need in the shift was due to the non-availability of the tenders of the 4th ODI.

Wankhede Stadium was not available because of the financial constraints.

Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) officials met the BCCI members and told them their difficulties. The BCCI members told them to get ahead with the game.

But the committee of administrators appointed by the Supreme Court of India gave up their decision on 14th September.

Since then, there is no clear picture of who will operate the MCA account.

The Brabourne Stadium, CCI is just a few minutes away from Wankhede.

Besides hosting practice games for the visiting team’s, CCI has also hosted international matches at the venue.

BCCI also changed the venue of the 2nd ODI match of the series. Indore was to host this match but later it was changed to Visakhapatnam.
